Today you’ll explore the historical Sultan Ahmet area with your private guide to see the Blue Mosque, one of the Ottoman Empire’s greatest architectural achievements. Next, you’ll visit the timeless sites of the Hagia Sophia & Hippodrome and the newly renovated Basilica Cistern. Head back to your hotel and spend the evening exploring on your own.

Today you’ll be cruising the Bosphorus with your guide to see the late Ottoman Palaces – Dolmabahce and Beylerbeyi and the wooden mansions and villas built in the 19^th and 20^th centuries. Afterward, spice up your trip with a small group cooking class. Enjoy hands-on instruction from a local, and then feast on delicious Turkish cuisine.

In the morning, see the treasures of Topkapi Palace, the home of the ruling Sultans in Istanbul for 400 years. Afterward, visit the largest open-air market in the world – The Grand Bazaar.  Spend the rest of the afternoon and evening exploring on your own.

Your private driver will take you to the airport for your hour flight from Istanbul to Cappadocia. Your private guide will meet you at the airport and you’ll get an introduction to Cappadocia with breathtaking views from Uchisar Fortress, Ortahisar and Red Valley.

Visit Goreme Open Air Museum (rock cut churches, frescos, monastery) and Zelve Open Air Museum (houses carved in rock, Seljukian Mosque, and lots of places for kids to climb), and Devrent Valley. After a full day of exploring, head back to your hotel for free time.

Your guide will take you to wander through the fairy chimneys of Pasabalari. Then you’ll go to the underground city of Kaymakli to explore, before finishing up in Avanos trying your hand at the local artisan craft of pottery making.

This morning, your private driver will take you to the airport to catch your flight from Cappadocia to Izmir. Your private guide and driver will meet you at the airport and take you to your hotel. Enjoy the afternoon and evening exploring on your own.

Your private guide will bring the magnificent ancient city of Ephesus to life as you explore the city including the Celsius Library and Terrace Houses.  Afterward, head to see the Artemis Temple, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and St. John’s Basilica, the reputed burial site of the Apostle John.  Head back to your hotel for a relaxing evening before your flight the next morning.
