Konyaalti Public Beach
Konyaaltı is a public beach, so you can easily go on to a public area of the beach with your beach towels and spend the day relaxing. The free public area is located between the private beach areas all the way down Konyaaltı Beach. You can pick up an umbrella for some shade from a local market. Be warned if the wind picks up, it may be hard to keep your umbrella from flying away.
There are free public restrooms, changing rooms, and showers to wash the salt off your body when you are done swimming.

What to Do at Konyaalti Beach & Park
Located in Antalya, Konyaaltı Beach is the longest pebble beach in the Antalya province and has the prestigious blue flag status. The beach stretches about 7km from the cliffs to the base of the Taurus mountains. There is a coastal road that runs along the beach separating the hotels from the beach.
You’ll find many restaurants, cafes, parks, basketball courts, tennis courts, and outdoor activities running the length of the beach. There is a nice boardwalk you can walk along, plus electric scooters available to rent for a quick ride down the beach.
All beaches are wheel chair accessible and there are marked handicapped parking spaces in the Beach Park parking area as well as along the Konyaalti road outside of the Beach park.
There are places along the beach to ride jet skis, take boat rides, and parasail. We’ve found these can be somewhat expensive. Negotiate your price if you want to do any watersports at the Konyaalti Beach.
Konyaalti has a thriving nightlife if you are traveling without kids and looking for a good place to go in the evenings during the summer.
West Konyaalti Beach
At the far west end of the beach is the Tunektepe Cable Car which is fun to ride to the top of the mountain and see wonderful 360 views of the sea, city, and mountains. If you want more privacy and a quieter day on the beach, the west end has fewer people is usually low key.
Konyaalti Beach Park Activities
The park is home to multiple playgrounds for kids to enjoy all sorts of slides, swings and other fun activities. In addition, visitors can also find a small amusement park complete with fairground rides and games. You can find basketball & sand volleyball courts along the coastline to play. You’ll find private beaches on Konyaaltı that will have sunbeds and umbrellas, and some have lounges for multiple people you can rent for the day. There are handicapped accessible beaches all along Konyaaltı Beach that have ramps down to the beach. One area is called “Engelsiz Plaji” with a large ramp down to the beach area and a large deck up with a chair to lower a handicapped person into the sea. There is a lifeguard on duty and the swimming area is sectioned-off area to keep it clear of other swimmers.

How to Get to Konyaalti Beach
Public Transportation
An easy way to reach Konyaalti Beach from Antalya city center is taking the nostalgic tram to the end of the line at the Antalya Archeological Museum stop. From there, you can walk the winding road down to Konyaalti Beach Park at the east end of the beach.

If you’ve rented a car at the Antalya airport for your trip, the parking is free along the Konyaalti Beach road. You may have to park a block or two off the main road if you arrive later in the day. Also, there is paid parking behind the Konyaalti Beach Park.
